Arelys Flores, MD

Dr. Flores was born and raised in Puerto Rico and is the first physician in her family.  After graduating University of Puerto Rico at Cayey, Dr. Flores went on to pursue a medical degree at Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico.  She recently made the move to Arizona from Puerto Rico.

Dr. Flores has a passion for community service. As an undergraduate student, she worked with her best friend to found a community service interest group called “LUAF”, which worked closely with the American Red Cross of Puerto Rico. Through this group, they were able to help numerous people through multiple community outreach activities to benefit elementary schools, nursing homes, homeless and women’s shelters.

In her spare time, Dr. Flores enjoys spending time with her family. She is married to Dr. Félix Chico and has recently become a pet lover by way of two beautiful English Bulldogs named Azula and Fenix. She enjoys trying new recipes in the kitchen and exploring new types of food at restaurants although her favorite food is Caribbean or Puerto Rican. Dr. Flores also likes watching movies, reading, kayaking, and domestic tourism with her husband.
