Brooklyn Mayes, CNM
Brooklyn was born in St. Louis & raised in Los Angeles where she began to develop a love for obstetrics in high school as an EMT student. Following high school Brooklyn attended UCLA and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology. While in undergrad Brooklyn says she was as inspired by her own Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to pursue a career in nursing herself. Brooklyn acquired an accelerated BSN at Roseman University and then continued to Georgetown University where she completed her master’s in Nursing, Midwifery, and as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
Brooklyn is committed to providing personalized, compassionate care throughout the lifespan of a women – from teen years through post menopause. She hopes to empower patients and their families through emphasis on the importance of informed choices and active participation in patient-centered care and birth planning.
In her free time Brooklyn enjoys dancing, listening to music, hiking, going to concerts, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Interesting fact – Brooklyn comes from a family of musicians! Her grandfather was a famous gospel singer and her father is a drummer who has played for Rick James, Teena Marie, and many more.
