Alexandra McMurtry, PAC

Alex grew up in Richmond, Virginia, and started gymnastics at age of TWO!  Her gymnastics career ultimately led her to compete at the University of Florida, where she completed an undergraduate degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. 

After finishing a successful gymnastics career, and receiving her degree, she worked as a medical assistant and scribe in a dermatology office for about two years.

Alex entered PA school at Duke, and had the opportunity to spend clinical rotations in both outpatient OBGYN and inpatient MFM. 

She says she chose a career in women’s health because she loves creating special relationships with women of all ages, and partnering with them through difficult times. 

 

She is a recent graduate, and recently spend 6 weeks traveling (18 European counties!) before relocating to Phoenix with her boyfriend, Christopher.  

Outside of work, you can find Alex working out, hiking, making homemade pasta, and finding the best ice cream in town.
